We bought a 2-pack of Honest Healing Balm at Costco sometime last year and we have started to use it for nearly everything! It works great for minor scrapes and cuts but lately we’ve also found that it works well as for parched, dry skin and lips. Instead of buying lip balm, like we’ve done nearly every year, we’ve decided that Honest Healing Balm does the trick much better than anything we’ve used in the past. The same thing goes for moisturizing hand-lotion – we just use the Honest Healing Balm instead.

Our insider trick
One thing that we’ve found out using the Honest Healing Balm which we’d like to mention here is that if it’s stored at low-ish temperatures (like under 60°F), it gets a little hard and is also harder to apply to the skin. We assume that’s because of the natural oils and beeswax. So our insider trick for making it a little easier to apply is to simply put it in our pocket for about 20-30 minutes before using it.
If you’ve tried the Honest Healing Balm yourself, please leave a comment and let us know so we can compare notes!
What we like about it
It’s made of ingredients that are not worried about putting on our skin or our children’s skin.
We first got to know GoodOnYa Deli because I (Daniel) was working as a contractor off of Ruffin Road, where GoodOnYa Deli is located closeby. What we found and began to love about GoodOnYa Deli is that nearly all of their products are organic, gmo-free and locally grown. Add onto that their line of gluten-free pastries and made-from-scratch milks and animal stocks. While a little on the pricey side, we’re very pleased to recommend GoodOnYa Deli as a good source of nutritious food that tastes amazing!
From the about-page on their website:
When you give us money, and we give you something to put IN YOUR BODY, we see that as a huge responsibility. We are 100% transparent with our ingredients and sourcing. If you have a question we have the answer or we will get it. It’s important to know where your food comes from, how it’s made, grown and processed. It’s not about worrying; it’s about knowledge and understanding that the food you eat is a major contributor to your overall health.
